Be.
The last 6 or 7 years have found me recognizing a *word to honor and guide my decision process instead of committing to a “New Year’s Resolution” and this year—my word is Be.
Because of my personal journey, I’m comfortable being transparent and admitting that of all the letters in the alphabet, the letter *B is one I had avoided for years due to misplaced anger.
My Word, Be, is accountability and presence for myself which benefits and projects onto others too. Totally attentive to where I am when I am there. Totally responsible for what I engage in and how I show up to participate. I will certainly not be reachable by [cell] phone all day, every day by every contact in my phone.
Be.
The latter part of Esther 4:14AMP says “…And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]? So while I have a responsibility to myself to *plan and set goals, I am honoring the more immediate responsibility to Be; it’s sometimes easy to become distracted by the journey or process to reach a goal, to get into the room, to get the (proverbial) bag but I am committed to not miss the opportunity to Be.
IF there is any encouragement, Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”*Emphasis added, the Lord has already done His part, Imma do mine.
